We tried to get some information from the proctor about how they mark the
questions.
From what I understood Cisco aren't trying to be too tough and they won't
fail you so easily over the open ended questions.
I found most of the open ended questions were incredibly easy. There was
really only one that was pitched at CCIE level but mat maybe I was lucky

Hi All,
I have been waiting a long time to send this email.
I started studying for my CCIE in 2006 taking my first attempt in the end of
2006. I got close but wasnb t quite there. I rushed through another attempt
but got to the exam late and didnb t feel too well and failed miserably.
I took a break for two years due to a new job that kept me really busy and
started studying again in October. This time the material seemed a lot
easier
to understand. Concepts that seemed distant to me and difficult to grasp
(such
as QOS) just seemed to fall into place. So I guess a break was the right
thing,
it must help the sub-conscious mind absorb the material.
My path was through Internetwork Expert which I found really good. The class
on
demand which I originally used to get me started was really good (as long as
you can withstand BDb s humour b Ib m British you see).
Anyway to cut a long story short, this was going to be my final attempt as
the
stress was too great. Thank goodness this story has a happy ending because
it
would have been really sad to admit defeat.
Good luck to all those still on the journey, Ib ve now moved over to the
world
of the living.
