Hi Brian,

It's been over a month now since I had a full day off, so I have a MASSIVE
backlog of GS mail to try to sort through. I'm taking it on in blocks of
250 or so for the next handful of days. Anyway, thanks for this message -
it does help to know that some people appreciate the time that others put
into the list.

No doubt you are aware that I like the new Cert Guide in terms of how well
it maps to the exam blueprint. BTW, I too am amazed by those who can bang
out a 95%+ with minimal study. I've passed the lab and it still took me
several weeks to feel prepared to recert. Speaking of that, try to find
some peace with this exam - it is a permanent part of your life! At a
minimum, you will sit for one CCIE written or another every second year.
Just look at it as an opportunity to refresh and learn new things as the
blueprint evolves over time. And to donate $350 to Cisco's sagging bottom
line.

Best wishes!

Scott

Subject: CCIE R&S Written AGIAN!?!!!?!?!?!?!??!

First off, thanks to all of you that have helped me out over the past 1 =
years I have been working on this Certification

Just to name a few, thanks to Paul Cosgrove, Scott Morris, Narbik
Kocharians,
Shane, Hobbs, Radioactive Frog, Tony Vall, Darby Weaver, Tony Schaffran,
Scott
Vermillion, Brian Dennis, Brian McG, Joe Burner, and a few that I have
missed!
(not excluding Roman for all side help and odd propaganda he sends out J
well
for what it was, it really got me thinking once or twice)

I failed the R&S lab once.(wow did I fail)

I was not ready for the exam. Way to cocky (thought I knew everything even
tossed out my Encyclopedia since I was a resource for the worlds knowledge)
I
ran into every problem known to a CCIE exam tester that didn't listen to
everyone on this list that shared their experience. Again my issue...failed
beyond even mentioning....

Well since then I have started from ground zero...my game plan has been from
your support, knowledge, and shared experiences. Which I really should have
done from the start.

I feel now that I am ready to go rock n roll, so I begged my company to pay
for the exam again which they agreed. As I went to schedule the exam Cisco
told me that my written had expired...((#(DC(C()$%&(#&%)@&#)%(&)@#&%)(@#&%)
<-
lot of bad words came out.

So since I am slow in the head. I had to start over...AGAIN! (again my
fault)
I was not looking forward to the written portion for the 3rd time!!!!!!!! I
failed this exam once before then I barley passed the second time...

I seem to have issues in the exam area. I have read all the book
recommended
(again then over again), it usually takes me 4 = -6 months to get ready any
written exam. I really don't' understand how most of you do it in 2 weeks
or
a month. (you must not have kids) or well the most obvious I'm not as smart
as you.

The CCNA took me 1 year to fully complete, the CCNP took me a full 2 years
to
really understand and complete, The CCVP took me 1 = years to master (barley
passed with the skin of my teeth on this journey thanks to Kevin Wallace &
Jeremy Cioara @ KnowledgeNet for all the help!).

Back to the daddy exam CCIE, I had to re-focus all my energy back into the
written which I feel has landed a better building platform to further my
skill
set to pass the CCIE lab. My re-written exam was suppose to be for this
Friday, but I felt like another week of training could get me through it.
So
next Friday is the date.

You most likely will see (again) random wtf questions from me. As always I
thank you for taking time out of your training to help me out. Seriously
its
really appreciated!

Back to cracking the books I go! The lab one day I will pass! Some will
say,
well if that Brian guy can pass...hell you can also! J
