There will always be things you forget. But that doesn't mean it's gone
forever. :) If you NEED to get back into it, it'll come back.

I can say there's a lot of MODEM stuff (I have ISP/Dial as one of my CCIE's)
that I have put off to the side. A few months ago, I had to do some work
on an AS5300. After a short moment of staring at the screen, things started
to come back to me and it wasn't that difficult.

That's the same with anything in life though. I was great at calculus in
school, but I would likely have a hard time staring at problems today. I'm
sure I'd get it, but it's not something I've had to do in a very long time.
;)

So your expertise (CCIE or not) depends on how much you use the information.
but it doesn't make you any less of a qualified expert.

Subject: Triple & Quad CCIE's

Hi Experts,

I have a question in my mind and would like to know about it provided no one
should feel offended.

There are quite a few number of dual CCIE's and very few triple/quad ccie's.
Now, Is it possible for a person
to be expert in 3 or more domain in term so CCIE? I have seen engineers who
have expertize in R & S 3-4 yrs back but
due to current Voice/Security they tend to forget to some extent.

Please don't feel offended by my ques and would appreciate if someone can
enlighten about it.

Warm Regards,
HB
