I guess I would be curious to know why you would want an etherchannel. With
the firewalls you are limited by the total thru put the device supports.
The 5510 is limited to 300 Mbps, 5520 450 Mbps, and 5540 650 Mbps. It isn't
until the 5550 that you can get greater than 1 GB thruput and beyond that
you have the 5580 series that support a 10GB module and the highest series,
5580-40, supports no more than 10GB thruput so I guess I am not sure the
benefit of an etherchannel. I am unsure of a benefit you would gain by
having the feature available on an ASA. Maybe a better understanding of
what you are trying to accomplish will help us to answer you with a feature
to help you with what you want. When you upgrade the 5510 to 8.0 and above
Ethe0/0 and Eth0/1 become gigabit Ethernet. So there is not any series of
the firewalls that can send data faster than the interface bandwidth.
