Pavel,

I have noticed that none of those adjustments were required. Although my
tunnel was between just a single hop of v4 network ..have you experienced
anything otherwise and thus recommended a change or was it more of your gutt
feeling ?!

Better to know about any ttl modifications that are required. :)
