Scott, When I did a show mac-address-table I got "lost in the weeds" due to
the 150+ devices. I should have stopped right there to see that I can
eliminate 148 of them by looking at the first two octets of their MAC
address.

Your points are very valid and yes, the approach suggested by Jared and Luan
has its shortcomings but that's all we have to work with, unfortunately. I
was secretly hoping that there's a better, more graceful way of doing this
that I don't know about :)

There *is* CDP running on the box. I just wanted to be prepared in the event
that it's not, in some future scenario, and there's no phone call I can make
to find out what I need to know.....
