Re: Trunking question 'switchport trunk allowed vlan'

OK, help me see if I did this right. BTW, sorry for the delay, but I feel
asleep last night reading to my kids ... , green eggs and ham (my favorite
book)

I configured a port as a trunk. I allowed all vlans except for 1, and
changed the native to another vlan.

I connected a pc to that port and then ran wireshark. I do not see any tags
for the control traffic ... I shut and no shut a couple of times.

I then figured maybe this is quirky or something and then I configured
monitoring for the appropriate ports. Still no tags.

Since this list will not allow for attachments, I can send the capture to
anyone who would like to see it. Good thing this list does not take
attachments ... remember a couple of years ago we all got the 'elf bowling'
email wishing us a happy birthday? Yuck ...

Any suggestions? Did these sound like valid tests? HTH,
