Why ?
BGP is not developed for IGP purpose.

BGP have heavy tax by BGP Scanner process running every minute for CPU
utilization.
Also, BGP doesn't have good metric mechanism to calculate load sharing
or reachability.
It is based on path vector algorithm.
If you are interested in "keepalive", you can use BFD from OSPF and
other IGP.

Running BGP will use more resources from routers.

So I do not recommend it for IGP replacement.
It was not designed for that purpose at all.
