Hey guys - I'd say you can't go too far off course with IE's expanded
blueprint. It may seem like a lot but if you complete it, you'll be well
prepared for the lab and mostly anything that can be thrown at you for IPv6.
The things I tend to worry about the most for IPv6 are:
1. Enable IPv6
2. Interface configurations - enable on the interface, configure the
interface.
3. Enable the protocol (unless I already enabled it on the interface) - I
still do in global - I'm slow like that.
4. Check the config.
5. If frame - check for link-local.
6. If OSPF and Loopback - I make sure I have read the requirements again.
7. Ping ipv6 and ensure everything is pingable.
8. Split-horizon in IPv6 works like IPv4 - don't forget when and where to
use it if needed.
9. Debugs. - I don't usually need this one - but I don't forget it's there
either.
10. Show ipv6 route
11. Look for the need or requirements for tunneling - if so which tunneling
is required?
12. Verify everything.
13. Ask myself - did I do everything they asked me to do the way they asked
me to do it?
14. Take home < 10 points and call it a day.
