It's 9, but in my experience stacks this big become quite
unmanageable/unstable -- things like 'clear cdp table' absolutely
smashes the CPU of the stack master when there are lots of IP phones
connected. Even pretty recent code (e.g. 12.2(44)SE) was subject to
such encounters, and that's just one example.
You could say "well, don't do that", but that's a bug if you ask me
:-) In this particular case, I had a bunch of 'stuck' CDP neighbour
entries. I would avoid stacking more than 4 or 5 in future. When you
get a stack that big, it's probably cheaper to buy a cat6500 anyway.
