Re: Bootcamps and Vendors

I've had very good experiences from both vendors. I've had a few
discrepancies with IE over a long history as a client (I think I'm like
client number 48 or something) but they've handled each issue well and done
so very professionally and to my favor whenever I have let them known there
was a problem or concern. So... I bought my first kit from them in what
like in December or 2003 or December 2003 - I forget but I ran into the
original packing slip while cleaning my garage out this past weekend.

No business is going to be perfect 100% of the time. Anyone married and
never (ever) had a disagreement or even mild misunderstanding with their
spouse? Or have siblings and never have issues?

Look it's not whether or not a company has issues all the time. It's how
they communicate and work to resolve those issues.

The communications and wordings we saw recently from Anthony are not typical
of the communications I've had with Kady Heaton and the Brian's themselves
and the other people assigned to my account over the years. These guys will
bend over backwards to make things right usually if they can.

I know Larryh had an issue where there was a misunderstanding/understanding
about whether or not he was actually writing materials for other vendors.
So IE was reported to have canceled his account and refunded him as a
result.

If Larryh was writing for other vendors as well as IE, then IE probably
wanted to protect their intellectual property rights. What business would
not? If they were wrong or mistaken the question is did they refund
Larryh? Yes or No? I'm not privy to the details but I think they did per a
vaguely remembered post from Larryh.

Now the other vendors like NLI or IPExpert etc. would know whether those
allegations were true or false. But they likely would not comment and
wisely so. I would not blame them either.

So the bottom line is I've had some issues with InternetworkExpert myself, I
have. And they worked through them time and again successfully and most
importantly to my favor. I think there is one thing outstanding but it was
personal thing and to be fair I did not take up the offer in a reasonable
period of time so if it is off the table I'd consider it my fault and not
theirs.

Lots of people love both companies and others and with very good reason.

Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater and forget these are the
guys (all the vendors) who broke the CCIE Lab Blueprint down to bite-sized
chunks so us little ducklings could grow up to be Swans in the first place.
