That would be a lot of reprogramming and re-spinning of ASICs, but I'm sure
there's some method!

Wouldn't some version of L2 Tunneling or VPLS be more viable?

Subject: changing default ethertype for 802.1q interfaces?

Hi,

I would like to configure the default ethertype of 802.1q interfaces to use
ethertype 0x9100 instead of 0x8100. I dont want to setup a dot1q tunnel but
i want to bypass an Extreme switch this way.
If anyone knows such a command i would be happy. :)

Thanks,
Wouter
