Well, it has been a good effort and maybe one of us learned some more :) I do have a question though, I am not too familiar with what you mean by "local policing". Do you mean like control plane policing? I looked into that and I'm not sure how I would set ip next-hop in control plane policing, because it seems that it calls a policy-map and not a route-map. Again, I am by no means an export on CoPP but that is just my first thought

hmm... I have to start the practice lab now, so I can't think about it any longer, by the last thing that popped into mind, that is not an upgrade of IOS is:

1. Turn on local policing
create a policy map that matches on destination 4.4.4.4
set ip next hop to 141.41.26.5 (hopefully overcoming recursivity manually)

second option

2. Turn on local policing
create a policy map that matches on destination 4.4.4.4
set interface to some local loopback (hopefully triggering a new life for a packet)

These are just things that pop into mind and do not have to make sense :)
