I would probably check my diagrams or the rest of the lab and determine
whether that particlar subnet (/8 seems a bit unlikely) is being used or
assigned anyplace else. That may well determine which vlan you actually
create/use!

Very dumb question but still wanted to check
If in the lab we are asked configure ip x.x.x.x/8 on switch 1 for
management purpose with a default gateway of y.y.y.y/8 , then should
we configure it under vlan 1 or create a separate vlan and assign it
this ip??
