I wonder if it would make a difference if every CCIE were to open a support
ticket asking Cisco to get rid of the new logo...
IMO even if 9-10k tickets open up, it should get somebody's attention....
For some reason this has affected how I perceive the CCIE certification. I
am not sure if the new logo is worth all the pain, suffering and sleepless
nights counting configs and OSPF timers in bed.
Do not get me wrong, I know the value comes with knowledge and this is a
validation as such, however, I cannot help but ponder if Cisco has shirked
their moral responsibility by making a change such as this without proper
feedback and/or comments from the people it would affect the most. If the
entire community sends a message to Cisco, it would have an impact.
If people show up at the Networkers wearing old CCIE logos, and not new
ones.. every last one of them... that would send a pretty strong message...
Cisco might own the trademark, but we (particularly CCIE's..) EARN IT!!!
Just something to think about.
