And did they bar CCIEs from voting!? That stupid thing is ridiculous. I'd
be willing to wager that sales of CCIE logo merchandise grind to a complete
halt. I know that I won't be putting that crap on anything of mine -
business cards, shirts, jackets, or otherwise.
I personally view this as part of Cisco's overall drive to diminish the CCIE
in favor of the CCDE. They've already seen a design cert fail miserably and
they seem to be willing to sacrifice the CCIE to ensure that it doesn't
happen again. I personally suspect that it will, regardless of how much
damage they do to the CCIE. They already had a flagship certification but
elected to try to outdo themselves. Bad move all around, IMHO...
