Hi Group I just saw a techwise vid on Netflow. and they recommend to turn it
on. But is it really beneficial if you already have a network monitoring
system in place, as alot of network performance monitoring systems do the same
thing. So what is the big seller to enable Netflow in an existing environment,
can someone please explain ? "Cisco IOS NetFlow efficiently provides a key set
of services for IP applications, including network traffic accounting,
usage-based network billing, network planning, security, Denial of Service
monitoring capabilities, and network monitoring. NetFlow provides valuable
information about network users and applications, peak usage times, and
traffic routing. " Also to make use of netflow do you have to have a netflow
reporting server, or can you see netflow stats from CLI. Also are there any
prerequisites to enabling Netflow ie network bandwidth, device cpu allocation
etc Also what is difference between the new Flexible Netflow and the classic
cisco netflow ? Would be grateful if you guys can explain thanks in advance
