Hi,
AFAIK (and if I understood the VoD from ipexpert right), it doesnt matter
whether you configure IN or OUT but you cannot do both and it depends on the
topology. Take a look at the following:
LAN1
|
<router>
| |
LAN2 LAN3
So if your web cache is located on LAN1, and you want all users from LAN2
and LAN3 to communicate with the cache, just configure the OUT parameter on
the interface towards LAN1.
If you only want clients from LAN2 to talk to the cache, just configure the
IN option on LAN2.
There is also a possibility to limit the access to the cache via ACL's. The
communication itself from the router to the cache is "kind of automatic",
most of the stuff will be initiated via the cache.
So hopefully I got that right, otherwise folks out there on the list will
correct it :o))
regards
Roger

Betreff: wccp redirection
Hi experts,
I have some confusion about wccp redirection. If i configure like :
inter fa 0/0
ip wccp web-cache redirect *in
*what is the meaning of "in". I am confuse about whether it direction of web
traffic mean wccp for packet that is coming IN or its means wccp system is
inside of this interface?
Please clearify it
