OT : Layer 2 Etherchannel support on ISR

I have a white paper regarding L3 etherchannel support on the ISR ... and it states that in the guidelines: "If trunking is required, make sure IEEE 802.1Q is used. Trunking protocol ISL is not supported." ... i don't care about the ISL part but i'm really interested in Dot1Q trunking on an etherchannel on the embedded GigE ports of the router ... this document states it is supported on the embedded ports ... "The commands in this chapter can be used on Cisco2811, 2821, 2851, Cisco3825 and 3845 embedded FE/GE ports and all the supported modules."

Anyone have a reference for the configuration? Just wondering if it's as simple as channel porting the physical ports then sub interfacing the port-channel interface and applying encapsulation dot1q on the sub interfaces ...

Thanks,
