I think it's a great idea for those who are prepared. I don't believe this
is fake as I received the same email in two separate accounts. I thought
maybe groupstudy may have been spammed but I got it in my email that I use
for all my emails from Cisco.
I personally think the urgency of the change is coming from the amount of
people (A) either passing the lab or (B) have the written due to dumps. If
you notice this is only for the Routing & Switching exam.
Personally I'm happy as shit they are doing this to preserve the integrity
of the exam, as I've came across a guy who was studying for his exam on
Facebook and said he didn't know anything about Cisco and was from overseas
on the other side of the Pacific from the US and said he wanted to go for it
about 6months ago and he's never done any work with Cisco or had any other
Cisco certs, about a month ago he asked me some basic technology questions
like STP/VTP etc and couple of other things then a couple of weeks ago he
said he was going to take his lab exam for his first time. I brushed it off
like goodluck. He comes back like I got it #2310X thanking me for helping
him understand some basic technology questions he had.
So I'm like WTF, I asked what did you use to study like what vendor WB or
something, he said just material written in his native language and
rackrentals. I want to be fair to guy because I don't know his full story
but never the less I'm still like WTF 6months no experience. To me
personally it goes along with the article I read in Network World by George
Morton. Never the less I'm glad they are doing it. Those who are prepared
shouldn't have any problems witht his.
