If you are prepared, 15-30 minutes is nothing.
I think there are 2 items that really bother me.
1) 2 weeks notice? I'm assuming this announcement is official. IMO, any
"change" to the program is major and should allow 1-3 months before the
change.
2) There have been 3 main sources of problems with the CCIE lab
implementation. The first is the incorrectness of the actual lab books.
The second is the lab equipment. The third is the proctors.
This allows more interaction with crappy proctors who could inject more
influence into the outcome of your grade. IMO, this is going in the wrong
direction and is the largest mistake. Cisco is assuming all of their
proctors are great and everything is fine. Quite the opposite. If they had
control over the quality of the proctors, I wouldn't see a problem with
this.

Scoring
Well there is not much detail so far imo. It would be nice for a sample
question or two from Cisco. At least that way we could get a idea of how
long the questions will take to answer, how much detail is required and
maybe even how they are scored.
If each question takes 5 minutes roughly, that's around 20-25 minutes . Will
they be any changes to the amount of lab questions to compensate?
I think its a good idea overall. We just need some more insight and details.
