And just to be clear ... i'm NOT saying that anyone prepared properly shouldn't be able to pass these ... according to Cisco they should be able to and i assume they are correct on that ... it's just that the amount of stress people are under in preparing for the exam and with the personal sacrifice ... this "could" through people into panic mode and actually "cause" them to fail the exam ... the change is good ... they should be announcing it 6 months out though in my opinion. I think they will see a huge increase in "re-write" requests.

I'm surprised they are announcing a fairly vague change to the lab exam on Jan 14th ... and making it effective Feb 1st (just got this in the Learning@Cisco news letter) ... seems like short notice regardless of how hard the questions will be ... my exam slips in just before that but i sure wouldn't want to have the stress of the "unknown" with only 2 weeks out to my exam ... i feel bad for those booked at the start of Feb who are following a structure they set out months ago and now need to re-group and re-read some theory which will take away from their last hours prep on the practical.
I'm not impressed with this ... even though it doesn't impact me at this time ...

Well there is not much detail so far imo. It would be nice for a sample
question or two from Cisco. At least that way we could get a idea of how
long the questions will take to answer, how much detail is required and
maybe even how they are scored.
If each question takes 5 minutes roughly, that's around 20-25 minutes . Will
they be any changes to the amount of lab questions to compensate?
I think its a good idea overall. We just need some more insight and details.
