Show ip pim rp mapping takes forever to display

Hello,

I think this has been asked before but i can't find the answer. I have about
8 devices in a multicast domain using sparse-dense mode. RP information ir
propogating everywhere yet on 1 router it is taking FOREVER to display the
output. It will go something like this:

R1#sho ip pim rp ma
PIM Group-to-RP Mappings

Group(s) 225.0.144.1/32

PAUSE FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS

  RP 2.2.2.2 (?), v2v1
    Info source: 2.2.2.2 (?), elected via Auto-RP

PAUSE FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS

         Uptime: 00:00:20, expires: 00:02:37
Group(s) 225.0.144.2/32
  RP 2.2.2.2 (?), v2v1

PAUSE FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS

etc, etc

any idea what's causing this?
