Dinesh,

Try to think of it this way and see if it helps to memorize it.

/8
/12
/16

10.0.0.0 network is /8
then +4
172.16.0.0 network is /12
then +4
192.168.0.0 network is /16

It is +4 going from one to the next. If you can remember the initial
numbers and the masks are +4 bits then you find it easier to remember.
