Not to bash anyone but a lot of vendors typically provide enough support on
their own forums like NMC, CertZone, and others to the effect that not many
of their QA and proprietary scenarios are discussed publicly.
I guess in defence of IE and others their materials seem to be used more
frequently by people not purchasing their stuff from them too. This means
lost revenue to some extent even by those who would claim those using
non-purchased copies would never buy it anyway. Maybe but most network
engineers can usually afford the materials and our companies help
sometimes by paying for materials for our usage too.
I know Bill Gates was once quoted as saying something to the effect of "If
they are going to pirate software, then I want them to pirate my software"
or something like that...
But given the very limited market I'd think each of the vendors would do
their best to rope in their clients to their own forums. Some think
differently I suppose it seems.
I see questions all the time that seem more like "tell me where the answer
key is" versus help me to understand the question more thoroughly when
referring to any vendor's questions.
Even racks vendors like Tony and others seem to have all the racks well
documented for others to use easily.
I know Paul does not like any vendor using this list to solicit their
materials or anything even vaguely resembling advertising. He does not do
it much for even his own company which is also a training company for CCIE's
(CERTSCIENCE).
