Hi,
I have GNS3 running on Ubuntu with quad core PC.
When I have all my routers as 3725 I couldn't get my "idle pc" right so
always one core was 100% and others were fine. With this set up "show runn"
took very noticeable time for an output.
I changed all my routers to 3640 and "idle pc" worked out great and "show
runn" was faster than before.
I don't know if this make any sense, however you can try changing your "idle
pc" or router model to see if there's any difference.
Thanks,
TK.

Ah, well then I guess the only potential solution left is bigger, better
hardware...

if you are running few instances of routers then it dont produce any
difference :(
