It depends on you too.
Ping scripts will tell you something may be wrong.
I used a tcl script to test route presence on every router, which was
more complicated to prepare but gave more visibility to what was wrong.
I just knew how to do it in case I run into some trouble
(those pesty redistributions which route instabilities).
debug ip routing was a nice complement.
