- Do you have an active PIM neighbor on the PE-CE link with the edge
customer? Both sides?
- What do you see in "show ip pim mdt bgp" on customer-carrier PE routers?
(or "show ip bgp ipv4 mdt all")
- What PIM mode are you using in the customer-carrier?
- Are you using MDT in the provider-carrier to transport customer-carrier
multicast traffic? Is provider-carrier mdt working? Configure join-group on
customer-carrier PE's on both sides, can they ping each other?
- is inter-as involved?
- PIM mode in the provider-carrier? PIM mode in the customer network?
Keep in mind, three things are needed before you see mVRF PIM neighbor
through the MDT tunnel:
- there should be at least one other PE-CE PIM neighbor active
- MDT information about all PEs must be available ("show ip pim mdt bgp" or
"show ip bgp ipv4 mdt all")
- Each PE needs to join the MDT tree of other PEs ("show ip mroute")

Subject: mVPN over CsC topology
Hi guys & girls
I have setup a scenario where I'm running CsC and my customer sites
connected to the customer-carrier PE routers can succesfully access each
other. However, on these PE router on the customer carrier network, I am
unable to establish PIM neighborship thru the MDT tunnel.
I'd appreciate any assistance with this setup.
Regards
Mreiks
