In addition to some of the suggestions listed here, a bit of an
unconventional answer might be to use AutoRP to advertise the primary RP,
then use a static "ip pim rp-address" statement without the override option;
so if an AutoRP-learned RP exists it is chosen, but if that fails, the
static RP map is chosen.
