Well if CCIEs don't know the difference between a hub and a switch, what do
you expect from a sales person?
By the way, for most of these issues i blame mock labs, lots of people do
nothing but mock labs after mock labs, and what do they learn when they do
nothing but mock labs? They learn to pass the CCIE lab exam if they come
across a similar question.
If students do the right thing when they are prepping for the CCIE lab exam,
you will never hear these stories. Even though i kinda find it hard to
believe some of them.
Doing the right thing is doing unbelievable amount of protocol specific
labs, these are individual labs that examine the hairs of each protocol
individually, these labs should test the hairs, play with the hairs, and
then at the end they learn how to verify them, the process of thinking how
to verify and test the individual protocol will teach the students the
theory, because if they don't know the theory, how will they verify a given
task or a command?
As the students perform these labs, they should stop after each command and
refer to the Doc CD (Don't do a search, try to find the command/section),
read to see what the Doc cd has to say about that command, when you study
this way, you will find lots of other commands and points that you were NOT
exposed to. You should summarize what you read and what you did in the lab.
Read your summary and test your knowledge of what you wrote from time to
time.
You tell me, don't you agree that if people study this way, they will know
everything? don't you agree that you will know what it takes?
After you have done what i just mentioned, now and only now is the time for
5 *may be* 10 mock labs.
Hey
Happy thanksgiving
