The truly sad part is that it seems some people on the list did not truly
think asking a question about the function of a hub versus a switch was
relevant to the CCIE Certification.
God bless if the guy had asked what a Bridge does. It seems the proverbial
CCIE did not know much about VTP Transparent Mode.
Now that gives me the impression the guy was either not a CCIE at all or he
used a Gunman to get his certification for him and I hope he got a burger
and fries.... to go with that "SHAKE".
I would not have believed it possible for a CCIE not to know the basic
components of a Network.
Not the "Ali" character may be fictional or not. However, those that
stepped up pretty quick to defend the notion of not understanding how to
speak intelligibly about the differences between a hub and a switch came
from this forums members.
I'm not worried about NKI's "Ali"... (he may not even exist).
I'm worried about "YOU" and "YOU" know who "YOU" are.... and so do others
now.
