50% cpu for 2 routers is not that good. Try changing your idlepc values.
I noticed weird flapping but that was with a full lab loaded and my
duo core cpu pegged..
Ubuntu is a good alternative to windoze.
64bit OS / quad core is the way to go if you use dynamips/gns. If you
do decide to upgrade do some research on the cpu, for example the
newer cpu's in the prebuilt pc's have 4 mb cache vs a model or 2 older
has 8mb cache. If you can afford a cpu with 12mb cache then that would
be best but last I checked dell wanted 1k for that cpu.
