Narbik is right. It's just a joke. Take it easy.
I did not find it over incomfortable with more and more popular security
tightening requests like that. Just found my experience funny as I thought of
comdoms idea :)
It is not exagerated though. It is a real story, about 7 years back, when i
went there for a conference, not for a lab.
All in all, they just try all to keep us safe, whether it's our stay in US, or
for our outbound trips back home.

Hey man, it was just a joke, take it easy, i travel a lot, and sometimes
people exaggerate a little, i have been asked to throw the bottle of water
but never heard of them asking anyone to drink the freaking thing, he could
have said NO. In either case, you gotta laugh at these things, since you and
i can not change anything, and besides we don't know what they know.
