Lol, interesting Question
For me the order is a little bit different :D
0) market, job availability, money ---- simply if u want to satisfy market
demand today, stick to voice!
1) availability of learning materials --- u can find good resources for
voice very hardly.IMO there is no well written and easy to follow book for
voice!!! just tons of Docs that makes reading very inconsistent and tedious.
2) cost of materials. u should build your own lab for voice, cost around
5000$ (without 6k switch and VG248). But for SP u can entirely rely on
dynamips
3) new concepts required to learn .(hehe , all of voice stuff are new
comparing to RS, except QOS which is a tiny part.(When I started voice there
was no difference between me and my firend that studying business :DDD) .For
voice tons of stuff. too many concept ,devices, Apps, just Crazy!!!!! for sp
u mainly just u need MPLS on top of RS.
4) how fast ? well,it's a hard question ,it depends!!!!! but for sure
getting SP is much faster!!
Once, I thought about that and I went for voice. Just one criteria is
positive though.it depends which one is more important for u.
