Didn't make it

Hi All

Unfortunately I failed my 1st attempt @ SP on the 24th of October.

I really walked out of the lab feeling that I did pretty well but alas, it was
not to be. I did pretty well in some sections and worse than I thought in
others. There were 2 questions I could not answer due to my own stupidity at
not studying that subject and that cost me a good few points.

I also made a lot of stupid mistakes and those cost me dearly. But on the
bright side, my time management was good, I finished with 2 hours to go. I can
now see that the most important thing I need to work on is concentration. If
it wasn't for those stupid mistakes I probably would have passed the lab
easily.
I will chalk the 1st attempt down as a learning experience and move on from
here. I have already booked for the 16th of January back @ RTP as this was the
soonest booking I could get at the time.

I have gone over the areas I didn't know and I am feeling much more confident
about the 2nd time around.
The Proctor (Howard) was very good, unfortunately I think I didn't ask him
enough clarifying questions on sections I was a little unsure on, that won't
happen again.

We see all the posts of people passing (and rightfully so) and not many about
people who have not passed (don't like using the word fail :) ), so thought I
would admit to my own shortcomings.

I feel that I probably went into the lab too confident and possibly
underestimated how hard it would be. It wasn't an unfair lab, but it was a
little harder than I let myself believe it would be.

So, that's my sad story. Onto bigger and better things (like passing the 2nd
time around)

Cheers
