One of the first things to start mastering is your ability to find a
topic quickly in the DOC-CD. If you need to look something up in the
lab, you certainly do not want to fumble around wasting time as the
clock is ticking.
Here is an example of how you should be able to locate a particular
feature. This will take an Expert-level candidate about 30 seconds to
do. This is a sign that the candidate is ready.
The candidate is asked to build a 6to4 IPv6 tunnel to solve an IPv6
transition issue. The candidate had practiced this, but wants DOC-CD
guidance to ensure that nothing is missed. The candidate looks the
feature up in the DOC-CD quickly:
1. Start at http://www.cisco.com/web/psa/products/tsd_products_support_configure.html
2. Click Cisco IOS Software
3. Click Cisco IOS Software Releases 12.4 Mainline
4. Click Configuration Guides
5. Click Cisco IOS IPv6 Configuration Guide, Release 12.4
6. Click Implementing Tunneling for IPv6
7. Click Configuring Automatic 6to4 Tunnels
What topics should you learn to find quickly in the DOC-CD? I would
certainly begin with this list:

What other areas of the DOC-CD should you master?
In addition to the Configuration Guides, spend time with the Command
References, Master Indexes (great for determining where a particular
subject is covered), and the New Features area.
Enjoy this remarkable journey you have started and thanks for posting
here on GroupStudy!
