Do we really need it here?
Mixing broad general statements and confusing them for the clear and simple
truth is never what I'd associate with intelligent people who have the right
to vote. Unfortunately mostly everyone has the right to vote with certain
restrictions.
I've heard stories today from the polls that are scary about the actions and
behaviours of registered voters that clearly indicate that neither
intelligence nor wisdom are requirements to vote. Example: the lady who
could not figure out what her own initial for her last name so she would
stand in the right line. There are loads of others... and all of this from
one coworkers trip to the polls this morning alone.
Being a voter does not instill wisdom nor intelligence. Nevermind "common
sense" which seems to never be that common.
