That sounds weird, to say the least. A few questions for you though:
1. What aaa server are you using? If Cisco ACS, what version please? On the
log, whats the cause of the authentication failures?
2. What supplicant software are you using? Windows native or Cisco SSC? Any
AD configuration? What OS are you using?
3. What EAP method are you using? And how it is configured (user and/or
machine authentication and which one so u see the erratic failures on?)
4. What switch are you using and what IOS runs?
Quite a mouthful of question I know :-) but, it is a good starting point for
us I think :).
Take is offline if you prefer to, soo we dont bug the rest of GS members
with troubleshooing noise they might not be too up for.
