Reza- Try clearing bit 10 in the config register.
10
0x0400
Controls the host portion of the IP broadcast address:
<http://www.cisco.com/en/US/i/templates/blank.gif> Setting bit 10 causes
the processer to use all zeros.
<http://www.cisco.com/en/US/i/templates/blank.gif> (Factory default)
Clearing bit 10 causes the processor to use all ones.
Bit 10 interacts with bit 14, which controls the network and subnet portions
of the IP broadcast address. See Table
<http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/1800/1841/software/configura
tion/guide/b_creg.html#wp38189> 3 for the combined effects of bits 10 and
14.

Hi
I done a lab which was asking to change broadcast address of fast Ethernet
interface. I did , finished. But NOW I CAN NOT REMOVE IT!!
!
interface FastEthernet0/0
ip address dhcp
ip broadcast-address 0.0.0.0
no ip route-cache
speed auto
half-duplex
no mop enabled
end
also same on all serial interface.
I change the config, Erased the startup config , but this stupid router is
still doesn't pay any attention to "ip broadcast-address 255.255.255.255"
I'm trying to do some DHCP labs, and I want to broadcast my DHCP request.
Its aroud 1 hour that I'm playing, and EREASED startup config 5 times and
build the config from scratch, also using wizard.
Any advice?
