Yes, she said no changes for "fiscal year '09 - but that could change." OK
Cisco, you're not doing yourself any favors with that kind of a dodgy
response. I may drop it altogether - but that could change!
Anybody know what Cisco's FY is?

The ccie-tv show is over and there was absolutely nothing new regarding the
ccie-sp. A question was raised about any upcoming updates to the sp track
and what i was able to understand was "we are working on it, but do not
expect news in 2009".

True that, but depending on the changes, I might actually prefer to wait.
Two reasons:
1. I would be surprised if they didn't nix geriatric protocols such as ATM
and possibly even FR (or at least substantially diminish them in favor of
more current or emerging technologies) 2. I don't get the impression that
SP is exactly in high demand amongst employers/clients, but it might become
so with the new program. In that case, you'd be in a better position to be
certified under the new vs. the old, IMHO.
As you said, we'll just have to wait and see next week...

Well, even if they do that, we'll have 6 months to get it. Let's see what
happens the 23rd.

You are a wild man Mr. Soares!
Assuming that the upcoming proclamations from Cisco do not radically alter
the course of the SP track, I should be leveraging your hard work shortly...
Cheers,
Scott

Hello group,
I developed a full CCIE SP Virtual Rack matching as close as possible the
current hardware and software specifications:
http://pwp.netcabo.pt/amsoares/dynamips2/dynamips2.htm
The zip file contains the dynamips .net files for both windows and linux.
The main purpose is to verify what we can or cannot do with the current
hw/sw available in the lab.
