its CCNA level question...
U can enable 2 subnets same router without vlan
just assign second IP address on router
e..g
pc1 -= 1.1.1.x
pc2 = 2.2.2.x
on r1 -
inte fas0/0
ip address 1.1.1.1/24
ip address 2.2.2.1/24
no shut
L2 switch can be used as a just l2 without vlan (of course default vlan is
1).
in summary:
shriran is right - 2 vlan with router on stick can work
Sadiq is also right - 1 vlan no need of any vlan. use l2 switch just as a
dumb
same thing u can achieve in different way. I would personally go for
Shriran's solution for transporting 2 vlans over l2 domain (keep it neat and
clean).
