PPPOE virtual interface vs physical interface configuration

Question on PPPOE virtual interfaces
Both on dialer interface and virtual-template interface when applying let's
QOS policy, ACL, PIM, or VRF.. do you have to enable or configure it also
on physical interface? Or just virtual interface (dialer or virtual-tem)
