In terms of what they actually achieve ..
I think they would both be the same ..

They both will ALLWAYS orginate a route ,
1 will as it will always have a default route ( via your null0 statement )
2.will as it has the "always" statement added.

I think the question would lead you down either path

1.
At the front of your lab there is NO mention about the use of static routes.

Q says ,
create a permenant default route within OSPF ,without using the "default
information-originate always" statement.

2.at the front of your lab there IS an explicit instruction stating "you
must not use static routes"

Q says ,
create a permenant default router within OSPF, do not add any new
Non-dynamic routes to your routing table.

I am no good at writing question , but that sounds pretty good to me :>

Subject: OSPF Default Information-Orignate

Hi All,

Any differences between the followings 2, and under what scenarios do i use
them for OSPF?

1.) default information-originate + ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 null0

2.) default information-originate always

Much appreciated for any kind replies.

Cheers
