Well if you have enough memory/flash for the IOS then delete the old one
1st before uploading the new one.

On 2811 I am trying to update IOS from 12.2 to 12.4 using SolarWinds
TFTP
software.
Upload fails for any IOS more than 30MB ;

smaller files upload is ok.
