Hi Reza,
As Scott(4) eluded to, the grading scripts for these Assessors are pretty
erratic. Thus, if Cisco tried to test on weak areas, they'd likely be
hammering everybody on the same old subjects where the scripts are hosed!
LOL. But not to worry; as I understand things, the scenarios were furnished
by the Cisco CCIE program/proctor team, but they are administered, marketed,
and graded by a third party.
Familiarity with task language and various topology drawings is one of the
greatest benefits to sitting an Assessor or two. If you can accept going in
that you are unlikely to be happy with your score (no matter how well you
perform!), then these can have great value for a first-time lab candidate,
IMHO. I did both A & B, scored horribly, and then passed the lab a few
weeks down the line. I also did a few vendor mock labs, which were also
tremendously helpful in terms of fine-tuning my overall lab attack strategy.
The Assessors are less authentic in the sense that they're only four-hour
labs, but on the other hand they're more authentic in terms of how
information is presented to the candidate. If you adapt to change
instantaneously, there may be less value for you. If you have grown overly
accustomed to the format of a given vendor or two, mull it over carefully.
Regards,
Scott(1)

Subject: Cisco Assessor Lab, is it a MUST?
Hello.
Is Cisco Assessor a must? Actually I'm scaring about it because I think by
doing an assessor lab, they (Cisco exam team) will know your weak areas and
they will give you the LAB which has lots of things on your weak areas in
the Real LAB exam.
Is it true?
I already done 3 IE mock labs. I'm happy with them I learned many things.
I have 2 scheduled labs for last week which I'll go for real LAB.
But from now till the last week of me exam, there is 13 days. I'd like to
have another mock lab, but I don't know which one is better. I'm thinking
about Cisco Assessor or Netmaster Checkit labs (I heared they are difficult
and good).
Which one do you suggest, Cisco Assessor or Checkit?
