When I cleared the Lab Exam in Jan 2006 in RTP, commands such as logg
synch, exec-time 0 0, and no ip domain-lookup were entered already for me
in the base configs. I certainly would have entered them if they had not
been! I also would have watched to ensure they did not conflict with a
task requirement. If they did not, I would have left them.
As far as aliases are concerned, I did not choose to use them. I know many
candidates swear by them! Just another example about how passing the lab
involves a very personalized strategy approach. Had I used aliases, again
I would have ensured no conflict, and then not bother to remove them. I am
sure it would be viewed as another example of a harmless "over
configuration" of the devices.

Subject:Re: Command Aliases and exec-timeout
By all means use the alias exec, but think how long it will take you to
enter, how often you will use them, how much time it will save you using the
alias compared to doing the full command and how likely you will use the
full command. For sure you will save a lot of time with certain ones. But
remember the remove them when done.
As for the other commands, I wouldn't play too much....
