Both Port-priority & Span cost would work, I think port-por is how the
local switch elect its root and span cost for entire STP domain
depend on what you want to achieve ........

I understand your solution and I think it would be the better design. But
based on nouman's question "how could I configure Odd Vlans on one ports and
even Vlans on other ports" it seems like they don't care about redundancy,
but that's just my interpretation.
I guess it depends on what the "grading script" or grader would look for to
verify. For example, "show interface trunk" has a section for vlans in
forwarding state and not pruned, and a section for allowed vlans.
I didnt even think about changing STP configuration but it is definitely
something to remember.
