Ahhh I hate to inject my own unsuccessful attempts but F*ck it, I would say
focus on your weak areas. I've had two attempts thus far and will be
attempting a 3rd in a month shortly myself. You can't rely on going in the
lab giving up points on any area. If you go in with that mindset you
literally have to score 100% in every other area.
Now comes reality can you really score 100% in every other area? Some folks
have and I'm not saying you can't just be honest with yourself.
For me Security and Qos has burned me in both exams F****CK. I did well in
everything else far as percentage wise 80's to 100's. Also speed is very
important but I think the most important is VERIFICATION. My last attempt I
finished the lab in about 5 1/2 hours and spent the last 2 1/2 trying to
verify but wasn't truly sure on how to verify some of the technologys and
was really running on hope. Hope doesn't cut it prayer won't make the final
results change. Now I'm not saying don't pray if your religious but you get
my point.
Know the DocCd. I guarantee your going to get a few questions you've never
seen before.
Ask the proctors for any questions that you do not understand or is not
clear I should say. Even if they blow you off which I've received which I
don't think is fair for $1,400 bucks I feel you better answer my damn
question at least, but it is what it is.
I wish you luck along with every other candidate out there that's grinding
to get this cert. It's by far the toughest challenge for me and I'm really
striving my hardest to achieve. Just hoping that it all comes full circle
the day I pass hopefully on this last and final attempt.
My 2cents
