Hi Group,

When doing with RIP default routes,

[let say BIG NET with OSPF RIP]---R1---------------R2

R2 is a stub router and its only exit point is through R1.

Solution 1.
R1 to do "default-information originate" under router rip, and
distribute-list out only 0.0.0.0/0 to R2.

Solution 2.
R1 to "ip summary rip 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0" under the interface to R2, and
distribute-list under router rip.

Can both be ok when doing to get our number? Which one is better?

Ed.
