Subject: Got My Number # 22100

Alhamdu-lillah

I have passed my RS exam on Friday, this was my second attempt...!!!!

Just came back to my home town and writing this to thank all you guys here.

In my Journey towards CISCO CCIE I came across three most difficult Times:

1. When i left my System Admin Job and went for Cisco Admin
(Salary was almost 50% of what I use to get System Admin, it was 3 years ago
)

2. When I had to leave my job at UBS (SWissbank) to give dedicated time for
CCIE as work load was not allowing me to give enough time for CCIE
(Left Global Operation Center, one of the best place to work, it was 4
months ago)

3. When I failed in my first attempt.
(All the matter of time and some stupid mistakes, It was 40 days ago)

All the three times considering my responsibility to take care of family
many guys around me told that I took WRONG DECISION. specially after exam,
coz I left my MBA incomplete and all my savings spent on Trainings, Rack
Rentals, Dynamips machine, books, and Exam fees... It was a horrible time
for me.

I thought I will not go for 2nd attempt....But my family gave me great
support, My sister told me: "Bhayya aapne to puri Mehnat ki thi, shayad
hamari duaon mein kuch kami reh gayi" [xlt: Brother you did enough hardwork,
Its our fault, may be we were not good in prayers], i knew it wasnt her
fault, it was me who failed the exam.... and I gotta keep her confidence.

Also, I saw two old emails re-forwarded to GS one from Scott and another
from Anthony (before they got there number)... I thought how beautifully
these Tigers crossed similar situation to becoming Internetwork-Kings.

Though I am just a Grass Hopper in technology.. i got motivated enough to
start preparing again.. and booked my exam date Just 3 days prior of the
day.... and Thanks to Allah I made it !!!!

For all this I also thank to:

- Paul for managing such a wonderfull group.

- Abid Khan / Excel Networks and Dilip for support in getting my CCIE
number.

- Siddique Ahmad / Netmetric solutions for continious guidance in my
Networking career.

- Narbik and Scott (I am fan of you both) keep up the good work by bringing
smile to everyone face either by technical help or by your gifted sense of
humor

- Hats off for Brian and Brian Work

And all my GS Gems out there who share there knowlege on this portal :-)

No other CCIE track in near future but Security would be the next...Hope I
will catch Khawar's bootcamp before that.

Now, I have started looking out for Job but I will be with my family for
remaining holy month of Ramzan and Eid (The Festival), and after that as
I've got hell lot of time with me planning to complete my MBA in few months.

Take care all you guys.

Thanks
Moazzam
